What is Linux VPS?

A Linux VPS is the default choice for developers and system administrators who want full control over their server environment. Our Linux VPS comes with a clean install of Ubuntu (22.04 LTS or 24.04 LTS), Debian (11 or 12), AlmaLinux 9, Rocky Linux 9, Fedora, FreeBSD 14, or Arch — your choice at deployment.

"Clean install" is meant literally. We don't pre-install monitoring agents, control panels, telemetry, or anything else that takes resources or watches your traffic. You get exactly what the upstream distribution publishes, plus an SSH key authorized for root login. From there, your VPS is yours.

Linux VPS is the most cost-effective tier in our lineup because there's no operating system license to pay. The €2.48/mo Starter is a real Linux server — not a stripped-down container, not a "shared CPU" abstraction.

Distribution choices

We offer first-class support for the distributions that matter:

• Ubuntu 22.04 / 24.04 LTS — the default for most workloads
• Debian 11 / 12 — minimal, stable, beloved by sysadmins
• AlmaLinux 9 / Rocky Linux 9 — the RHEL replacements after CentOS's discontinuation
• Fedora — for cutting-edge package versions
• FreeBSD 14 — not Linux, but we host it
• Arch Linux — for those who prefer rolling release
• Custom ISO — upload your own (NixOS, Alpine, OpenSUSE, etc.)
