The FranceVPS Marketplace is a curated catalog of pre-configured applications you can deploy onto a fresh VPS in a single click. We handle the painful first-time setup — base OS hardening, SSL certificates, sane defaults, automatic backups, and integration with the systems you'd want anyway (PostgreSQL, Redis, Nginx). You get a running, secure, production-grade installation in 60-90 seconds.
Every marketplace app is open-source. We don't lock you in. The deploy template is published as a public Ansible playbook in our GitHub organization, so you can read what we're doing, modify it, or take it elsewhere.
Pick the app. Pick a server tier. Pick a region. Click deploy. Behind the scenes, we provision a fresh VPS, run our hardening playbook (firewall config, fail2ban, automatic security updates, kernel parameters), then run the app-specific installer.
For most apps, the time from click to "open in browser" is under 90 seconds. WordPress is 70 seconds typical. Docker is 35 seconds. GitLab — which is heavier — is around 4 minutes because the GitLab installer takes its time. We don't fake the timer.
Marketplace apps include optional managed updates. If you opt in, we apply security patches within 24 hours of upstream release, with email notification beforehand and rollback available for 7 days. Application-version updates (e.g., WordPress major release) require your explicit approval — we won't run a major upgrade on a production system without you saying yes.
You can also disable managed updates and run everything yourself. The marketplace apps are exactly the same software you'd install manually — there's no proprietary fork, no telemetry, no "marketplace edition" with watered-down features.
